​Chef Gordy is a new-age artist based in Illinois. He is expanding the instrumental soundscape by creating sonic worlds and cosmically smashing beats unlike anything else. The Chef has been cooking up galactic hits since 2019, and in 2023, began producing for the quickly rising rap trio The 331 and the upcoming neo-trap lyricist Settydastuntman. Currently, he is developing a project with the trap-hop artist The Masked Man.​

Chef Gordy has performed at several live shows in his college town of Charleston, "Chucktown," Illinois, the place where Chef Gordy began. Some of these shows include 2024's S.E.T. Lounge, a JUNTA-led event, and 2025's Liberation Mic, a show which changed the scene of music in Chucktown forever.​

Chef Gordy also draws cool stuff with pencil and ink. His drawings are wide-ranging and varied, but known for composition. He specializes in landscapes, creatures, and, most famously, his album covers. He also built several famous Minecraft worlds.

The Sound of Chucktown is the first album to feature Chef Gordy's signature original "cooked-up" tunes and sounds with real live-played recordings. GLOW CITY RADIO is also 100% original synthesized sound in the same way; that's what brings the "cooking" to Chef Gordy's kitchen.
